それによりますと・・・
We're in the process of resurrecting the Rogers company to make drums just as they were in 1964 and then have a full line of low and mid-range drums besides the Holiday drums. Jim Petty and I are working on the company and we're going to resurrect swivo hardware and swan leg stands too.

OK, here's what I'm thinking. Give me some feedback and be aware I haven't finished all the details as yet nor is my shop done so there's still time to argue the fine points.
Lugs.
True thickshell Beavertails but updated. Will have the spring and insert but will have a foam tube over the spring and post assembly so there's no rattle. The bottom of the spring will also be fit into a retaining pocket. The base of the lug will also accept a neoprene gasket for shell isolation. Three lugs just like the originals. Tom, bass and double ended snare. I'll be casting these myself on a commercial foundry using three piece dies. They will be quality parts and lifetime guaranteed. Low mass? No but they'll outlast the buyer!
Hardware.
Original swivo by Jim Petty. He doesn't know yet he'd be the supplier but we have talked extensively about it before. His work is superb and every bit as good as the original. Knobby's machined just like the original and collet plates the same way. I have a stamping plant and machine shop lined up to make 'em right. Patent Pending machined collet noses. I also believe I can get swan leg stands also built but working on that. All or nothing here! This is a big part of what made Rogers great.
Memri-lok made by Gibralter. Basic start but if it works out will continue it out right to 10 and 12 piece stacked tom sets. I may try Cermenaros Memri-lok rack if there is a demand but I see most drummers going away from rack systems. OK, it's not American made but you can afford to buy it! RIMS using memri-lok stand components if you just can't live without 'em!
Swivo bass drum pedal and hi-hat. Will only have one model of each and both must use the same footboard. Now is your chance to vote on one piece or two piece hinged heelplate. Can't afford to do both. BD pedal WILL be the original with the locating pins on the bass drum rim mount so the pedal and mounting plate won't separate. Also will not be American made. Wahlberg and Auge is gone. They will however be top quality and built like the original except the BD pedal will use a tyvek unbreakable strap instead of leather.
Shells.
OK here's the meat of the matter. I'll offer both original 5 ply shells and XP-8 shells and maybe very thin 3 ply shells. Need to order a hell of a lot of shells from Keller to buy direct and get the original shell layup. 3 ply shells would be interesting to do with beavertails. Shell bearing edges to be flat to a thousandths of an inch and bearing edges will be temperature controlled laser cut, not router cut. I've talked a lot about the importance of not scorching the sugar in the maple plies making the bearing edges too brittle. You'll notice the difference. dual 45's standard and any others by request. I have a 16" floor tom I used standard cut on the top for response and a rolled 30 degree on the bottom for that killer low end response. Maybe a standard option. All shells are cross ply maple with or without reinforcing rings. Your choice. Standard is with rings. Yes, they will match the original profiles.
Snare drums.
Wood Dynasonics and Powertones of course. NOW it gets weird. I'd like to offer Ti Dynasonics from Ronn as well as a newly designed Piccolo but with a Dyna frame for killer response and maybe a wood Dyna Piccolo. Would need a modified Nickle throwoff for Dynas. Can't afford to remake the originals. Snares will be puresound and a limited number of modified 42 strand dynas.
Tone controls.
Got 'em if you want 'em. New design based on original Rogers but where the pivot point used to bea stamped square edge the new ones will have round posts riding in a teflon bearing on each side. Spring will also have a foam tube. Guaranteed never to rattle!
Finishes.
Interiors can be flat grey marine paint, clear coat sealer and lacquer, or sanded only. Your choice.
Exteriors. Have made connection for almost any Rogers original wrap except for Mardi-Gras and this one breaks my heart, but so far no glass Champagne. Also any modern wrap you can come up with including using the Formica catalog. Yes, that means Onyx and looks like some new onyx colors. Also lacquer if you insist but they'll be higher priced and I'll have to send them out until I'm able to do them right. Possible local Fibes connection here for this. Was at Tommy's today.
Biggest problem? Still no agreement with Brook Mays but I'll be working that. They need real Rogers sets to offer and so do I. I believe it's in both our interests to do it.
All the bases covered for old geezers like me and the "new" generation?? Let me know what you think of what I've come up with here. Pricing?? I have a pretty good idea of street prices. What do you think they are??

Corky, THAT was pretty funny but I think you have to be from here to really get it! I can see the Statesman headlines already. Naked Drummers were arrested in Hippie Hollow while having.....never mind.
Poopy pants. Made raht heah in Texas! Labels will probably say Austin just like Cleveland wasn't where they were really made. I live in a VERY little town named Smithville where everyone knows your name, oh wait. That's Cheers! Really though, small little tight knit community that time forgot. It's only claim to fame? It was the town used in Sandra Bullocks movie "Hope Floats" and there's even a billboard on Hi-way 71 to let you know this historically significant fact. 23 Seniors graduated from Smithville High this Spring! A record number caused by the influx of "new" citizens! This little town is a lot like Covington was when Joe built the Rogers factory. We should do very well here as the people have a lot of pride in the work they do. The town folk are very interested in the progress we're making on getting started. Most here are of German descent (Sonorgirl should be ecstatic!) as am I and there is a very active group of Mennonite woodworkers available who do beautiful work. Most still speak German as well as English and are honest almost to a fault. What I find fascinating is that they actually KNOW how to pronounce my name correctly. Ah-geen (hard "G") Mew-eller. Fascinating!
Just for reference her's the last list I put up!
OK Here's the list We're working from and you'll notice some missing sequence numbers. There are things that are very proprietary we won't be talking about until the patents are registered and complete copyrights secured. but in general here's where we're going.
Rogers List
1. 5 ply shells standard. 3 or 8 from custom shop.
2. Thick Beavertails w/springs and foam tubes. Beavertails WILL be the originals with the filled "tail" for strength and will have all the original internal bracing with new spring pockets. Screw bosses tapped like originals and reinforced to never crack.
3. Improved "No Rattle Ever" tone controls. Optional
4. Original Swivo available.
5. New mounting system-Guess! No it's NOT Memrilok
6. Swan Stands standard.
7. Swivo pedals. BD has original hoop clamp with locator pins and pcket heel rod and new tapered roller bearings. Guaranteed to be the fastest pedal you'll ever play! Strap will be kevlar and stronger than a chain and quieter. Thinking of big As* plate like DW to help control BD creep. Whadda' Ya' think?
8. Swivo hi-hat. no changes as yet. Hard to fix perfection.
9. 3 lines of drums. Names are being copyrighted.
10. Tension rods are dimpled sides just like originals. Now you know where to find those replacements.
11. Original heavy bass drum claws. Key rods on all series except Classics that will have faucet handles. Optional all others. Lets face it. MOST players would rather have key rods anyway. All MY personal sets I play have been swapped. One because it's way more convenient, two, because you don't have to align all the handles to look good, three, they hold tension better and don't interfere with the BD pedal mounts.
12. Original triple flange hoops with correct hole flare. You KNOW this was really the right thing to do. No one else's match and they're spottable across the room now aren't they!
13. Original 7 line heavy COB shells. 'Nuff said. Don't ask. I won't tell. Won't be cheap but who's snares are anymore? I can tell the difference. So can you! Some other surprises on Dyna snare drums too.
14. Dyna frames are to be Generation "D" (Cooks book) with elastic straps. Jim and I never even hesitated on this decision. Simply the best version there ever was. DO NOT tell me the elastic straps weren't needed. Correct bottom hoops to go with it.
15. 90 degree only collet plates to cut costs. This means center mount tom holders only and bass drum spurs up higher on shell with longer hex legs but should be more stable. Swivo tom arms have to be lengthened to give full adjustment range. Cop out? Well no. Have you priced tooling to do 6 different plates?
16. Drums matched acoustically. Method being patented. Yes, it does work and is revoloutionary. You WILL hear the difference.
17. Pearl patterns enlarged so they show up on stage. Current small patterns look real nice up close and personal but look like crap on stage where they disappear. Working on custom colors that only we will have.
18. Heads. Yes, there will be heads. Custom logo's and you'll love the new logo. No, you can't see it as yet!
19. Knobbys silver soldered so the hex shaft receiver will never turn. Pet peeve of mine that after 40 years I have some that turn! They should last forever.
20. Custom Shop. To build anything customer wants. Quick as possible turn around. Weeks not months ARO.There's lots more that we're not going to talk about. Yet. Shell compositions are one of these and there will be some surprises. What's your favorite? Jim and I have agreed on everything so far and the new mounting system will be spectacular. What was truly amazing is that we both believe the same way as to how drums sound, how they get that sound and how they should be made. Thanks Corky for having been there at the first meeting! You had great input as did Chris. So...Let us know your opinions!
