ROGERS Dyna-Sonic XP-10
ROGERS Dyna-sonic XP-10 8"x14" snare drum
Clear lacquer finish, 10-ply all maple shell
In Japan, XP-10 series was introduced in 1982.
"Big R" badge with serial number, and brass
tuning locks
The upside tuning rods are different from the bottom's.
Because tuning locks must be set to the upside rods.
Clear interior and black screws for fixing lugs
The edge of 10-ply maple
without reinforcement rings
This is the swiv-o-matic strainer which is probably
the final type.
The surface of the knob has an uneven pattern and a
center circle.
Side view
I compared two XP-10 Dyna-sonics
which were made at different eras.
The upside snare's serial# is
RD9787XX.
The downside snare's serial# is RD9788XX.
As for the upside model, the
green felt pads were put under the lugs.
As for the downside model, I guess that the felt might have been
removed...
