Cleaning of the Swiv-o-matic strainer
switch
Does your swiv-o-matic
strainer switch work smoothly?
If it does not so, let's try cleaning!!
(Please try with the selfresponsibility,
but it's pretty simple.)
Well, loosen the tension screw knob first.
The face plate (60-5210) will be removed.
Next, remove the boss screw (61-0163).
So, the switch is taken to pieces like this.
The middle of this pic is the handle.
(60-7556, short for 5X14 Snare)
(60-7559, long for 61/2X14 Snare)
The right of the pic is the cam & tension screw
sub-assembly.
This sub-assembly is for Powertone.
(60-6540, for 48-4067 PowerTone Snare Strainer)
This is the sub-assembly for Dyna-sonic.
The letter D stamped below the knob.
(60-6542, for 48-4066 Dyna-Sonic Snare Strainer)
These will give us effective help for the cleaning.
Toothbrush, toothpick and swab...
These hardly damage a metal.
The grease is applied by a swab.
(Strainer Housing, 60-5209)
Assemble as they were so first.
The spring exists in the cam & tension screw sub-assembly.
Therefore, the tension of snare wires is kept.
Though it's simple, it has great mechanism!!
I am impressed deeply...
So, I come to like ROGERS increasingly.
